Well, today was the great stage drama performance of PT (Pesta Tanglung) in UKM. Our college's PT event is the SECOND LARGEST Chinese event in Malaysia, with main sponsors - Hotlink, GreenBox, Pizza Hut, Nanyang Siang Pao, Hong Ren Guan Restaurant, MYFM, RHB Insurances... A lot la... The theme of the stage drama is Seeing The Lost's Memories. Before that, I ady at DECTAR around 250pm... As the marketing group needs to do a lot of things... And wat I felt that it was a great event involving more than 500+ citizens in UKM...
Synopsis of "Seeing The Lost's Memories"
The Year 2009
The drama started with the male lead, Fang Xin Long dreaming himself surrounded by ghosts. He was taking Science Fiction Reseach in Local University, which always focussed his thinking towards Physic. His dad had already missing for more than 15 years. He was raised up by his mum who sell Char Kuey Teow but he always did not agree with what his mum said, since his mum was a traditional Teochew thinking individual. During Ching Ming, Fang and his mum went to pray his dad's grave. At that time, they saw a person who looked alike as his dad. His mum thought that his dad had returned. As his dad had missing for long time, Fang was suspicious towards this man's appearance. Through the kindness and friendly attitude of the neighbours, this man started to feel warm here. After seven days, the man told Fang not to be a too reality person as this will make you to lose something precious. Short after this, the man dissapeared and his mum was so sad. Time passed and Fang had married Jaclyn, with three children -- Ray, Rachel and Rebecca. While the boastful Lin Zhi Ling (Played by my best fren Poh Hsing), still single due to merticulous in choosing boyfren.
The Year 2039
Jaclyn had been successful in enlarging her wedding attires business while his husband Fang had become the famous processor of International University. He had invented Human's Body Memory Chip, which can store one's life memory and can be played in video player. His son, Ray is a doctor, who always like to go to 3rd countries to save people. His non-reality attitude made his parents annoyed, as their attitude were differ from each other. One day, Fang and Ray were invited to Beijing for Robotic Research Convention and at the same time, Ray's girlfren urged him to save those victims in Tsunami. Ray's aunt, who always dislike their family, found out that Ray's sister - Rachel was in love with the robot that Fang (Ray, Rachel and Rebecca's dad) invented. As they were now in a wealthy family, sure Fang would angry. His aunt purposely let Fang knew about it and he emotionlessly killed the robot, Larry (looked like real human). Rachel was so mad while Ray was angry with what his dad had done. He made the decision to go to Maldives, making his dad not to recognise him as son. Fang was so insisted and both of them went seperate ways. Time continued passing. Ray was infected with new viruses. He called his dad but his dad chose to not hearing the call. At the end, he did not manage to see Ray's for last time. Eventually he remembered the words said by the man to him 30 years ago. He was regretted and wished to use his new invention, the time machine, hoping to back to the pass. Before he succeeded, he passed away...
The Year 2099
It was totally a technology world now. Human are cool and not as kind as 90 years ago. The Teochew tradition dissapeared from this world. Wei Er, the World Culture Heritage Member who won the first prize for his research report. PBB awarded him a huge sum of money to carry out the Time Machine's Invention. Before departing back to 2009, he accidentally found the Human Memory Chip. He planted into his body and his memories flied back to 2009, realising that it was all the memories left by his great grandfather - Fang... Wei Er realised that as a human, we should remember our root and try not to let our cultures and traditions lost from this world. Most importantly, we should care for our family members.
The greatest performance of PT UKM, lasting for more than 2 hours... Actually my frens and I cried for the moved feeling of some parts. We were amazed by the male lead in the year 2009, whom can act, sing and dance perfectly well. Then those dancers... They can remembered all the steps of few different dances... Involving more than 100++ participants, they performed a nice drama for the audiences and also with amazing background, attires and stuffs used in drama. Lights were controlled well except the subtitles not so clear and too fast. Well, it was a great memory for me... AND IT WAS A REGRETFUL CHOICE IF U MISSED IT!!!
